In a SAS Business Intelligence 9.2 (and later) deployment, the default server context is named SASApp and it contains both a standard workspace server and a pooled workspace server. If you deny ReadMetadata permission to the definition at the level of the logical workspace server, then the tables assigned to that entire server context are not visible in SAS Information Map Studio. If you deny this permission after information maps have been created and used in SAS® Web Report Studio, then the reports based on those information maps will fail.
As a workaround, you can deny ReadMetadata at the workspace server level, instead of at the logical server level.
Note: Denying access to the standard workspace server forces all Business Intelligence clients to use the pooled workspace server.
